More In-Depth About Our Signature Intestinal Massage
Many of you may have seen our before-and-after abdominal photos and wondered what we actually do during our Intestinal Massage.
One of the most important things to understand is that we are not simply pushing hard on the abdomen to make it look smaller.
In fact, we believe that harder is not always better.
When the abdomen is pressed too strongly, the body can respond by creating more tension. The abdominal muscles may tighten, and the client may unconsciously brace against the pressure. The more you push, the more uncomfortable it can become.
Our approach is different.
We focus on gently releasing tension in the fascia and soft tissues surrounding the abdomen, rather than simply applying strong pressure directly to the intestines.
Does your belly feel hard?
A tight abdomen may be one reason you’re struggling with constipation.
Your intestines don’t work alone. They rely on the surrounding fascia and soft tissues to move freely.
When these tissues become tight, they may restrict the natural movement of the intestines.
That’s why our Intestinal Massage focuses on gently releasing tension throughout the abdomen—not just the intestines themselves.
So what happens when we release that tension?
When the tissues around the abdomen become less restricted, we may see changes such as:
Less abdominal tension
Less bloating and tightness
Improved tissue mobility
More comfortable abdominal movement
Support for natural intestinal movement
This is also why you may notice a visible difference in the abdomen after a session.
The change is not simply from “pushing the belly in.”
We are working with the tissues, fascia, muscles, and overall mobility of the abdomen to help the body move with less restriction.
Our goal is not to force the body to change.
We create space for the body to move better.
That is the foundation of our signature Intestinal Massage at Wellness with Chika.
